Catering for small numbers at an intimate wedding
Weddings are a beautiful time for couples. They signify a celebration of love and happiness. While many couples invite a large number of family and friends, others choose to celebrate with a smaller more intimate group.
These weddings can be a lot of fun, allowing more social interaction with each of your guests. Your wedding day can be quite hectic with preparation, hair & makeup and possibly excitement or nerves prior to the ceremony. Knowing that you don’t have to worry about catering at your reception allows you to relax and enjoy becoming and newly married couple.
Catering for smaller groups has the flexibility of adapting menus to suit your tastes, space and desired atmosphere. With smaller numbers there is also more choice of venues either public or private. Restaurants and hired halls are a great option however there is also the option of renting a house or set of apartments where guests can sleep the night.
Finger foods are a perfect start to your wedding catering. This allows guests to socialise and enjoy the moment, all while enjoying a drink and something easy to eat. Once everyone has relaxed into the reception a more substantial meal option can be served. Buffets are one option that can be cooked onsite and served beautifully on white platters. Guests can choose which options and how much they would like.
Dessert can be served to finish the catering service and can either be served while guests are seated or as sweet finger foods while guests are standing. Plated desserts can provide a choice of two cakes, or a small selection of bite sized finger food.
